Case Study

We worked with a client who had never had HR support before.  We helped them work through some of the people issues they were facing.  We quickly identified that part of the issue was the lack of confidence the managers had.  They were worried about doing or saying the wrong thing.

We met with the Directors to identify which areas of training were required, found out what issues they’d faced before us and asked how training could be incorporated so it didn’t impact too much on business delivery.

We agreed on 2 morning sessions with all the managers.

Now when we’re supporting with people matters – we reinforce the training and empower the managers to carry out a lot of the issues themselves.

I recently attended a management training session on all things HR related delivered by Tracy for Mitchell and Urwin and found it to be very useful, particularly the sections on spotting mental health issues in employees, as who wouldn’t want to try and help any employee who was struggling?

No. If it’s just training you require, we would be happy to have a no-obligation chat with you to discuss your needs. We would then provide you with the cost and an outline of the training – based on content, key goals and the number of people. We would be delighted to assist you with the development of your team.

Focus on understanding your team’s needs. It may be that there is an obvious skills or knowledge gap within your team/part of your team and training in this area directly supports the overall goals of your company. Alternatively, find out what your team needs by asking them.This sounds obvious – but many companies forget to do this! Consider what your teams already knows in this area and where they need further development in order to pitch and get the best out of the training.

We believe face to face training is the most effective training. However, for short sessions (of up to two hours) we can deliver online training via Zoom or Microsoft Teams. However, for half day/full day training Mint can assist in sourcing and booking a meeting room in a location of your choice.

Mint deliver a wide range of team and management training topics. However, if we are not experts in a particular field, the chances are we have good contacts who are and we would be more than happy to introduce you because we know that when investing in your team’s development – it has to be spot on.
